It reads:
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.You may ask why I post or share such things. It may seem like it's to share and spread the Gospel, and to a certain extent that is part of my intention. At the core of it though, it is more for selfish reasons. It's to keep myself accountable. If I'm not writing about it, I'm likely not thinking about it....and I NEED to think about these things. I want to transform my way of thinking because I find my life and thoughts are too often consumed with things that are of this world. This is my way of constantly reminding and inundating my mind and heart with the ways and words of the Lord.
